- EDLA (Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement): This agreement is for enterprise devices. The term "enterprise" generally refers to the end-user being a company or organization, not an individual consumer.
- MADA (Mobile Application Distribution Agreement): This agreement applies to mobile devices, which must meet two conditions: the device must be relatively small (with a screen size under 18 inches) and it must have a battery. Typical devices using MADA include smartphones and tablets.

- onfirm Cooperation and Pay Advance: Confirm business cooperation and make the advance payment to initiate the project.
- Prepare Samples: Send 8-10 samples and install GMS software. (Samples must have a touch screen, microphone, speakers, at least 3GB of memory, USB or Type-C port, and be connectable to ADB for debugging.)
- Apply for Whitelist and Google KEY: After obtaining the sublicenses, apply for the open whitelist and Google KEY. We then start GMS pre-testing.
- Debug and Retest: After pre-testing, the customer will debug the device, and our company will retest until all issues are resolved. (We do not limit the number of retests.)
- Final Testing and Approval: Send the device to 3PL for final testing. After passing the 3PL test, submit it to Google for approval and complete the certification. (Deeplight will assist customers throughout the entire process until final approval is granted.)
IV.What are the important things to consider when you starting the Google EDLA certification project?
- Access to Resources: Ensure you have access to necessary resources such as sublicenses, whitelist, Google KEY, and proprietary testing tools like GTS. If these resources are not available to you directly, consider engaging technical service companies like Deeplight, as Google only provides resources to certain enterprises.
- Android Version Compliance: Ensure the Android version on your device complies with current certification requirements. Devices running unsupported Android versions cannot be certified. Google regularly updates certification requirements, so your device must use the specified Android version during certification.
- Chip Platform Registration: Ensure that the chip platform in your device is registered with Google. Using a non-certified chip platform can complicate the EDLA certification process. Registered chip platforms help reduce potential issues.
These points summarize key issues Deeplight has encountered in the initial stages of many projects. Deeplight provides these services to customers in the early stages.
